DJ_Yess___D._Crime_-_Time_For_Action_12__ARTIST: Doomsday Project

TITLE: Bodycatchers At Da Bullet Fest b/w Step Up Front

FORMAT: 12"

YEAR: 1993

LABEL: Tet Offensive Recordings

To make a short story long. I don’t know jack shit about the following group, I’m about to review. But as you know by now the Vinyl Addicts would like to bring you as much info as we possibly can, so I made a two step program for myself, which will give the most info in the shortest way of time.

Step 1:

I did some extensive research on the net for our dear readers. And after a minute or two I stumbled onto a variation of options for 'Doomsday Project', the group in question that I would like to discuss with you.

Here are 4 of the options  that I came across.

1. A Sonic The Hedgedog animation series from 1994.

2. Some kind of punk rock group from Cardiff Wales.

3. Of course with a name like 'Doomsday Project' a list with options can be complete without the “great minds”  from the pentagon, who sought to create an unbreakable chain of command for military and civilian leaders that would withstand a six-month nuclear war.

4. And to save the best for last The Doomsday Project is also a non profit organization. Whose goal it is to ultimately destroy the red planet, Mars.

As you all seen by now, besides all the fascinating info, I found nothing about the Doomsday Project that I was looking for. So we could consider step 1 as a failure, so let's go on with the program.

Step 2:

Step 2 was to look for any info about the label 'Tet Offensive Recordings'. Once again a lot of other interesting info but again nothing that can help me out to bring you any info about the group. But lets do another small run down with stuff that I found, which had nothing to do with the group.

1. The Tet offensive was a military campaign conducted between 30 January and 23 September 1968, by communist forces of the Vietcong. And must surely be regarded as one of history's chameleon campaigns.

2. To be honest the info above was the only info I could found, but I ever pursue a job as porno actor I will call my self ted offensive.

That was if for step 2, not a big success either I eventually came up with a step 3 but that wasn’t a big success either so I’ll spare you guys the details I think we seen enough nonsense for today.

So what about the group and the tracks I hear you think. As far as I know the group consists of two members Jahied aka Sir Hand(?) And  -------  (fill in the blanks) who wrote and produced the tracks themself. With tracks called 'Bodycatchers At Da Bullet Fest' and 'Step Up Front' and the sinister sound they deliver, this 12" is a  product of the horrorcore that started around the mid nineties. Along with there strange sounding combo between Cypress Hill and Redman, (I even here some Naughty in it)  I  really don’t know what to say about the record, so be the judge yourself and place your own verdict.
